Registration is now open for LYS 2016! LYS is a weeklong leadership camp held on the campus of Louisiana State University during the third week of July. This year's Seminar is July 17-22.
But don’t wait to register and spread the word. Even though LYS is months away, slots are filling up faster than ever before.
We’ve had a record number of delegates attend LYS the past few years — and we’re well on our way to reaching our capacity again this year. So we want to make sure your friends and family have a chance to attend before slots fill up.
Will you help us spread the word to register for LYS? Here are some fast facts:
- LYS is specifically designed for incoming high school juniors and seniors – and sophomores who are up for the challenge – who demonstrate leadership abilities in their schools and communities.
- During LYS, students go through a series of skill building exercises focused on leadership skills. And they make countless friends and memories in the process.
- Through a series of “hands on” experiences, delegates use their newly developed skills in a group setting to discover that leadership is not merely a matter of position or authority, but rather, a matter of action.
- Students are encouraged to make a difference and to apply their knowledge and experience in their schools and communities.
