2014 Delegate Kristen Yent was named Student of the Year in St. Charles Parish.
Ambition drives success for Yent, the daughter of John and Karla Yent of Destrehan. "The ambition within me has been the driving force behind all of my activities, service work, school involvement, and academics," Yent wrote in her portfolio essay.

Destrehan High Delegates in the news!
Just last week, nola.com wrote a story about Destrehan High School and their student council who is working throughout the school year to teach others the skills they learned at the Louisiana Youth Seminar.
